Sai Nittala

Sai Nittala is a machine learning software engineer at Amesite. Sai previously worked as a graduate research assistant-data science at The University of Toledo from January 2016 to December 2017. In this role, they implemented machine learning algorithms to detect mental workload, effort, and skill level of pilots in collaboration with the Ohio Federal Research Network (OFRN). Sai also performed data pre-processing using MATLAB and implemented predictive modeling algorithms using Python and R in both Linux and Windows environments.

Sai achieved an accuracy of 95% for skill level prediction and a root mean squared error (RMSE) of 3.4 for workload. Sai assessed cognitive load by developing and testing artificial neural networks, and SVMs on physiological data. Sai compared the performance of various algorithms such as SVMs, logistic & LASSO regression, random forests, kNN, and neural networks.

Prior to their work at The University of Toledo, Sai interned at Harshi Engineering Services from July 2014 to August 2014.

Sai Nittala has a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from The University of Toledo, as well as a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. Sai is also certified by Amazon Web Services (AWS) in AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty, and by MATLAB.
