John Timberlake

John Timberlake is currently a board member at AMF Medical SA. John has also served as the president and founder of Lakeway Life Science Advisors, LLC and as the Chief Executive Officer, President, and Board Member of Valeritas.

John has over 25 years of experience in the medical field. John started their career as a sales representative for a medical device company. John then went on to get their MBA and worked in management consulting for several years before becoming a CEO for the first time in 2006. In 2016, they joined Valeritas as their CEO. During their time at Valeritas, John led the company through some difficult times, including navigating the competitive landscape, FDA regulation changes, and managing the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the business. Under their leadership, Valeritas became a publicly traded company and developed the V-Go Wearable Insulin Delivery Device, which has helped millions of people with type 2 diabetes manage their condition. In April 2020, John oversaw the sale of Valeritas to Zealand Pharma.

John Timberlake has a Master's of Science in Management from Purdue University Krannert School of Management, a BS from Northwest Missouri State University, and an MBA from NEOMA Business School (formerly ESC Rouen in France). John is also certified from the Institute of Management Accountants as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
