John Stanton has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. John started their career in 1985 as a Morning News Associate at CBS News, and later transitioned to Hay Group in 1988 where they held the role of Production Assistant for eight years. In 1996, they joined Gay Men's Health Crisis as a Development Officer, specializing in Special Events. After five years, they moved on to Thirteen/WNET, assuming the position of Executive Assistant to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement. In 2007, they joined amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research as an Executive Assistant in the Office of the CEO.
John Stanton earned an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Nursing from Borough of Manhattan Community College, where they studied from 1992 to 1996. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse from the New York State Education Department in November 2020.
