Geert van Rens

Geert van Rens is a seasoned professional in the energy sector, currently serving as a Consultant for energy transition at Syntraal since October 2018 and acting as a Technical Advisor at Amfius B.V. since 2019. Previously, Geert worked as a Consultant for energy transition at Tauw Nederland and was an Energy Consultant at CCS, where the focus was on analyzing industrial energy processes. Geert began a research career as a PhD student at ECN in collaboration with Delft University of Technology, aiming to reduce particulate matter emissions from shipping. Geert holds a PhD, MSc, and BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Delft University of Technology, complemented by a VWO degree from St.-Willibrord Gymnasium in Deurne.
