Casey Jacobsen

Casey Jacobsen is a Process Development Senior Scientist at Amgen, where they have been employed since 2024. Casey earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Biology from the University of California, Davis, from 2018 to 2023. Previously, they served as a Graduate Student Researcher in the Beal lab at UC Davis, where they developed NGS-based assays for site-directed RNA Editing that enhanced the lab's ability to study protein-RNA interactions. Casey also gained foundational experience as a Laboratory Assistant and Student Researcher at California State University Channel Islands from 2015 to 2018, and worked as a Teaching Assistant at UC Davis from 2018 to 2020.
