Devin Wakefield has extensive experience in the field of biochemistry and chemistry, beginning as an undergraduate student at San Diego State University where research involved the development of a microfluidic device for electrophoretic analysis. Following graduation, Devin pursued graduate studies at Cornell University, earning a PhD and conducting investigations into mast cell membrane organization and signaling processes, as well as characterizing lysosomal synapse formation in various cell types. Subsequent roles include a postdoctoral researcher position in the Jovanovic-Talisman Research Group at City of Hope, applying quantitative super-resolution microscopy to cancer research, and currently serving as a scientist in the Research Biomics Group at Amgen focusing on bioassay technology. Additionally, a summer internship at the German Academic Exchange Service involved synthesizing fluorescent polymerizable urea-based monomers.
