From 2018-2021, they worked as a Software Test Engineer at Arista Networks, where they reviewed user requirements and design documents, assessed the impact of new features, and provided feedback in review meetings. From 2016-2018, they worked as a Senior Product Verification Engineer at Mojo Networks, Inc. From 2014-2016, they worked as a Technical Support Representative at NRT Technology Corp., a Call Center Representative at SMT Direct Marketing Inc., and an Intern at MVS Group Inc. From 2013-2014, they worked as a Consultant SQA Engineer at Clarice Technologies and a Senior SQA Engineer at Sage Mobile Pvt Ltd. From 2010-2013, they worked as an SQA Engineer at Clarice Technologies and Tap 'n Tap.

Rustom Contractor began their educational journey at St. Stephens School, where they attended Primary School from 1989 to 1992. Rustom then attended Boys Town Public School from 1992 to 2001, and in 2001 to 2003 they attended RYK College, where they obtained their HSC (Higher Secondary) in Science. In 2005 to 2008, they attended K.K. Wagh and obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Rustom then attended Wadia College from 2008 to 2010, where they obtained their Master's degree in Computer Science. Finally, they attended George Brown College from 2013 to 2014, where they obtained their PGD in Wireless Networking.
