Debra A. Canales

Debra A. Canales is the current Director at Amica Mutual Insurance. Debra has also previously worked as the Executive Vice-President and Chief Culture/Talent Effectiveness Officer at CHE Trinity Health Inc. from May 2013 to December 2013.

Canales is responsible for leading the enterprise-wide strategy and administration to strengthen the culture, talent, brand and reputation of the organization. This includes areas such as talent management, culture, executive integration and alignment, change management, CEO counsel, brand management/corporate communications, and team leadership.

Canales has a wealth of experience in developing strategies to achieve an organization’s desired culture, based on the mission, core values & vision. Debra is also experienced in change management, having examined and developed a change management strategy to help monitor capacity, plan for major changes and ensure engagement.

Under their leadership, the team has been able to successfully navigate through difficult changes and transitions within the organization. Canales’ team-building skills have also been integral in developing a cohesive team that is aligned with the organization’s goals.
