Donald Julian Reaves, Ph.D., has extensive experience in higher education and financial management. Currently serving as the Lead Director at Amica Insurance and Chancellor Emeritus at Winston-Salem State University, Reaves has also held significant positions such as Director and Board Chair at American Student Assistance, where responsibilities included overseeing student loan guarantor operations. Previous roles include Vice President for Administration and Chief Financial Officer at The University of Chicago and Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration at Brown University. Reaves’ scholarly foundation includes a Ph.D. in Political Science from Kent State University, complemented by a distinguished career teaching at institutions like Northeastern University.
