Le Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Amiens-Picardie est un des deux établissements publics universitaires de santé de référence et de recours de la région Hauts-de-France. Il propose à ce titre une offre de qualité à dimension hospitalo-universitaire dans les trois missions constitutives d’un CHU, à savoir le soin, l’enseignement et la recherche. Cette offre se décline à 3 niveaux : ‐ Au niveau territorial, dans une offre de soins de proximité et en tant qu’animateur du Groupement Hospitalier de Territoire (GHT) Somme Littoral Sud ‐ Au niveau régional, dans son rôle d’expertise et de recours supra territorial et régional ‐ Au niveau interrégional, dans une logique d’hyper spécialité, et conformément au schéma interrégional d’organisation sanitaire. Le CHU Amiens-Picardie dispose de 1 671 lits, ce qui lui permet d’accueillir quotidiennement environ 391 hospitalisations ainsi que 1 222 consultations. Pour permettre le fonctionnement de l’hôpital, on dénombre 6 208 agents, dont 12% de personnels médicaux (praticiens hospitaliers, praticiens hospitaliers-universitaires et praticiens attachés), 54% de personnels soignants et 34% de personnels non médicaux (administratifs, techniques, médico-techniques…).
