Elizabeth Menary

Elizabeth Menary is an experienced professional in philanthropy and international development, currently serving as the National Philanthropy Lead at Amnesty International Australia since January 2021. Prior roles include International Development Manager for the UK, Europe & USA at UNSW and Partnerships Executive at The Fred Hollows Foundation, focusing on national corporate partnerships and philanthropy. Elizabeth’s earlier experience encompasses roles as Pro Bono Investment Manager and Philanthropy Executive at Impetus – The Private Equity Foundation, Lead Researcher at Basic Rights Queensland, and Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator at Brisbane Arts Theatre. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Social Science in Development and a Bachelor of Communication in Public Relations from The University of Queensland, along with additional studies in Social Sciences and a focus on the global sex trade and human rights from the University of Nottingham. Elizabeth also possesses intermediate Arabic language skills from the School of Modern Languages at The University of Queensland.
