D. Mario Matsinhe

D. Mario Matsinhe is a seasoned professional in human rights research, policy, and advocacy with a diverse academic and professional background. Currently serving as the Director of Research, Policy & Advocacy at Amnesty International Canada, Matsinhe focuses on advancing Canadian human rights efforts. An adjunct professor at Carleton University, Matsinhe contributes to African Studies and Human Rights scholarship. Previous roles include Executive Director of Research and Policy at BC's Office of the Human Rights Commissioner and Research Specialist on Business and Human Rights at Amnesty International. Matsinhe holds extensive credentials in sociology, ethics, and international law, and has worked with various organizations, including the World Bank and the Government of Canada, fostering social inclusion and innovative solutions in public policy and education.
