Fatima Sohail

Fatima Sohail is a committed advocate for equity and inclusion, currently serving as a National Organizer for Amnesty International Canada since January 2024. Previous experiences include a Research Assistant role at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, focusing on decolonial and racial literacy, and as the Vice President of Equity and Vice President Administration for various University of Toronto student organizations, where strategies were developed to support marginalized communities. Fatima also contributed to addressing anti-Asian racism as Director of Events for the Anti-Asian Racism Working Group, and engaged in research on health inequities within 2SLGBTQ+ communities at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health. Educational achievements include a Bachelor of Arts in Critical Studies in Equity and Solidarity, Contemporary Asian Studies, and Women & Gender Studies from the University of Toronto.
