Rafael Hernández

Rafael Hernández, MBA, FCCA, CIA, CFE, currently serves as the Manager of Finance and Facilities Management at Amnesty International Canada, overseeing financial operations and donor database maintenance. Prior experience includes leadership roles at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, where Rafael was Head of Finance and Administration in both GIZ Palestine and the Regional Office for Senegal, Gambia, and Guinea, managing operational budgets and providing strategic financial direction. Rafael also held the position of Finance & Administrative Officer at the United Nations University, directing various financial processes, and served as a Senior Payment Specialist for the Millennium Challenge Account in both Zambia and Morocco, handling payment authorization and financial reporting. Additional consulting experience includes supporting the implementation of financial management software across multiple countries. Academic credentials include an MBA from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Lancaster University.
