Corina Sandu, PhD has extensive work experience in the field of research and development, particularly in the oil and gas industry. Corina currently holds the position of R&D Project Manager at Amogy, a role they began in March 2023. Prior to this, they worked at ChemCo Consulting as the Principal - Industrial O&G Product/Applications from March 2018 to March 2023.
From 2017 to 2018, Sandu was in a leadership position as the Director of Technology, Completion and Stimulation at Rockwater Energy Solutions. In this role, they were responsible for leading a team in the development, scale-up, and commercialization of various products in the completion product line. Corina'sachievements included leading the development of a patent-pending friction reducer with improved viscosity in fresh water and high TDS levels, as well as the commercialization of brine-tolerant friction reducer slurries. Corina Sandu, PhD, has a strong educational background in the field of chemistry. Corina completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Inorganic Chemistry and Surface Chemistry from the University of Houston between 1998 and 2003. Following their doctoral studies, Corina went on to pursue a post-doctoral fellowship at Rice University from 2003 to 2006, focusing on Chemistry.
