Kiribakka Tendo

Kiribakka, who often goes by his last name, Tendo, was born and raised in Uganda. A statistician by training, he began his professional career in investment banking at Barclays Capital in Johannesburg where he helped build in-house trading systems across 12 countries in Africa. Passionate about management, he got his MBA in the United States and worked in retail management at Amazon’s headquarters in Seattle. Keen to build managerial capacity at home, Tendo returned to Africa and joined AMP Health where he was a Management Partner at the Ministry of Health and Sanitation in Sierra Leone for almost 3 years. There he supported the operationalization of the nationwide CHW program by strengthening the managerial capacity of the national team to oversee 15,000 CHWs and a $11M budget.

Tendo is now the Deputy Director for Country Support at AMP Health overseeing its operations in Africa, based in Johannesburg.
