Mehret Mandefro has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Mehret is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at TBTM Studios (powered by AMP Global Technologies), where they are involved in building a blockchain-based Media Fintech platform. Prior to their current position, Mehret Mandefro co-founded the Realness Institute in 2019, a non-profit organization that provides support and training for African filmmakers. Additionally, they have experience as an Executive Producer and Director of Social Impact at Kana Television from 2017 to 2020, as well as a previous role as Chief Medical Officer at Amida Tech from 2014 to 2016. Earlier in their career, they worked in the Department of Health Policy at George Washington School of Public Health and Health Services and served as a Medical Consultant at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Mehret also pursued their medical studies at Harvard Medical School, specializing in Social determinants of health. Additionally, they earned an MSc degree in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, U. of London.
