Chiji Uzo is an entrepreneur who believes that technology will create new industries and transform existing ones. He holds a BS in Economics and Applied Statistics (double major) and an MBA (Concentrations: Applied Statistics and Finance) from Rutgers University. He began a PhD in Finance on a full fellowship but dropped out to pursue his business interests. He has held senior IT positions at major financial institutions including Bank Austria (Quant., Trading floor), Salomon Brothers, Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, TD Ameritrade and Amazon Web Services, where he led a Machine Learning team, before leaving to form AmpaCash. He has been a technology executive, designing, building and supporting the infrastructure that drives financial businesses for over 15 years.
Chiji founded AmpaCash on the premise that micropayments, that is payments between 1c and $2, are required to provide fair value to content creators and distributors, and that the mobile phone is the ultimate transacting device.
