Angeline Moonsamy

Angeline Moonsamy is an experienced medical scientist specializing in genetics, currently serving as a Senior Medical Scientist at Ampath Laboratories since February 2021. Responsibilities include FISH training, time management to maintain turnaround times, and leadership in genetics training and analysis. Moonsamy has previously worked as a Biomedical Specialist at SANBS, focusing on evaluations and validations of laboratory procedures, and as a Research Assistant at UKZN Medical School, where various assays were prepared for HIV research. Experience also includes a role as a Medical Scientist at NHLS, processing clinical samples and performing cytogenetic techniques, and a prior position as a Medical Technician at Ampath Laboratories, where FISH techniques were taught. Angeline Moonsamy holds a BSc Honors degree in Molecular Medicine and Haematology from the University of the Witwatersrand.
