Trevor Owens

Trevor Owens has a long and varied work experience. Trevor began their career as an iOS Developer for Hello World Engineering, Inc. in 2014. Trevor then moved to Educational Technology as a Technical Advisor and Engineer. In 2015, they joined Saito Group as a Machine Learning Engineer. In 2016, they were a Machine Learning Engineer for Spectrum and an iOS Developer for Hello World Engineering, Inc. Trevor was also a Research Scientist for Autodesk. In 2017, they became the Lead Computer Vision Engineer at AirSpace Systems Inc. In 2019, they became the Head of Computer Vision at AMPAworks, where they worked on Computer Vision based inventory management and Deep Learning based Computer Vision using AWS Lambda services. In 2020, they became the Head of Computer Vision at Overview, where they worked on wire manufacturing defect detection using Computer Vision. Trevor is currently a Senior Staff Computer Vision and Deep Learning Engineer at Matterport, starting in 2022.

Trevor Owens received their Bachelor of Arts in Physics and Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley in 2007. Trevor then went on to receive a Master's of Science in Systems Engineering from the same university in 2009. Lastly, they obtained a Master's of Science in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 2011.
