Dean Armstrong

Dean Armstrong has extensive experience in the transformer manufacturing and power industry, currently serving as Product & Solutions Manager and Design & Delivery Manager at Ampcontrol since October 2021. Prior to this, Dean held various leadership roles at Tyree Transformers, including General Manager for Operations and Power & Industrial, and previously was Company Manager at Ampcontrol Transformers. Experience also includes significant positions at ABB, where Dean improved operational efficiency, and earlier roles in manufacturing management at Amcor Flexibles Asia Pacific and Carter Holt Harvey Plastic Products. Dean began a career in engineering at Tyree Power Construction Ltd and Tyree Westinghouse, culminating in a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Victoria University of Wellington.
