Venelin Gornishki has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Venelin began their career as a PHP Developer at Symex Bulgaria in 2004 and subsequently worked as a PHP Developer at MediaOne Ltd. from 2005 to 2006. In 2007, they joined Sirma Solutions as a Software Developer, where they remained until 2011. From 2009 to 2012, they co-founded and worked at Evil Puppy Ltd. as a Co-Founder. In 2012, Gornishki worked as a Web Developer at SiteGround Web Hosting Company before transitioning to a Software Engineer role at Chaos Group from 2012 to 2016. Venelin then joined Chobolabs in 2016 and worked as a Software Engineer until 2018. Currently, Gornishki serves as a Senior Software Engineer at Ampeco | Solutions for Charge Point and Shared Mobility operators, where they focus on providing software and consulting services to facilitate the adoption and operation of electric vehicle and shared mobility solutions.

Venelin Gornishki pursued their education in a chronological manner. In 1997, they enrolled in the American College of Sofia, where they studied for five years. After completing their education there, they joined Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski in 2002 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Informatics in 2006. Venelin then continued their studies at the same university and completed a Master's degree in Information Security of Computer Systems and Networks from 2007 to 2010. During their Master's program, in 2007, they participated in the Socrates/Erasmus exchange program at KU Leuven, specializing in Cryptography. In 2009, they also undertook Master thesis work in Cryptography at KU Leuven as part of their educational journey.
