Vishal Kamat is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in protein sciences and antibody discovery, currently serving as Sr. Director at Ampersand Biomedicines since February 2023. Previously, at Twist Bioscience as Director of Antibody Characterization, Vishal led a team in protein purification and analytical characterization, successfully launching multiple antibody developability projects. Throughout a significant tenure at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Vishal contributed to the development of three FDA-approved drugs and over 20 clinical candidates, while also leading multiple immunology projects resulting in several clinical molecules in advanced trials. Vishal's academic credentials include a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
