Peter Weimann

Peter Weimann is an experienced engineering leader with a robust background in materials engineering and technology development. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Amphenol Fiber Optic Products since January 2025, Peter previously held the position of Chief Technology Officer at HFCL Limited from December 2021 to January 2025. At OFS, from June 1998 to November 2021, Peter advanced through various roles, culminating as Director of Optical Cable R&D for North America, where responsibilities included new product introduction and technology platform development. Peter's expertise in managing relationships with technical teams has facilitated the identification of technology needs and the successful development of corresponding products. Academic credentials include a PhD in Materials Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a dual degree in Materials Engineering and Organizational Management from the University of Pennsylvania.
