Director Development Engineering at Amphenol Spectra-Strip

Matt Wright has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Matt started in 2001 as an RF Engineering Technician at ClearComm Technologies and then worked as an RF Technician at Filtronic Comtek in 2003. Matt returned to ClearComm Technologies in 2004 as an RF Filter Engineer. In 2007, they joined Alcatel-Lucent, Radio Frequency Systems as a Hardware Development Engineer. Matt then moved on to Microtech Inc in 2009 as an Electrical Engineer, where they played a key role in consolidating product lines and standardizing design processes. Matt joined Amphenol Spectra-Strip in 2011, where they initially worked as a Cable Design Engineer and had the opportunity to learn from industry experts and gain experience in various areas such as Solidworks, HFSS, web application development, and digital document control. Matt then progressed to the role of Product Development Manager and currently serves as the Director of Development Engineering. In this role, Matt is responsible for leading global product design and development efforts, creating technology, product, and customer roadmaps, and managing a diverse product portfolio valued at over $30M.

Matt Wright completed their education in a chronological sequence. Matt first attended Delaware Technical & CC from 2000 to 2001, where they earned an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Electronics Engineering Technology. Following this, they pursued their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from 2007 to 2009 at the New York Institute of Technology. Lastly, they completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies at Indiana University - Kelley School of Business from 2015 to 2017.
