Nicolas Valette began their career in 2017 as an Education Professional at NEWFIELD INTERNATIONAL COMPANY LIMITED, where they designed environmental studies curriculum in both Chinese and English and taught environmental studies and film making to 5th Grade Students in both Chinese and English. In 2018, Valette took on two roles, first as an Editor and Archival Researcher at Levitt Corporation, where they edited a book manuscript on the subject of environmental degradation in public spaces and negotiated with libraries and non-profit organizations for rights to images and data. Valette also served as a Field Manager at Environment Massachusetts, where they oversaw a team of three summer interns and analyzed data to determine key areas of focus while surpassing fundraising quotas every week. In 2020, Valette joined Ampion, PBC as a Senior Enterprise Sales Executive, where they executed direct sales and business development efforts to drive subscriptions for Community Solar sites from Maine to California. Valette progressively expanded and scaled sales impact, from business development efforts in strategic verticals to enterprise deals with Fortune 1000 companies. Nicolas closed the largest deal in Ampion's history (Ardent Mills, 30 M kWh) and led a business development effort between local environmental groups, news stations, key cultural sites, and municipalities to help Ampion meet an otherwise unattainable target in Maine, culminating in closing Lafayette Hotels, Maine's largest hotel ownership group.
Nicolas Valette attended Belmont Hill School from 2013 to 2016, followed by Bowdoin College from 2016 to 2020, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science + Asian Studies. In 2018, they studied abroad at Middlebury in Kunming.
