Timothy O'Neil, GISP has a long and varied work experience. Timothy began their career in 2008 as a Campaign Coordinator for the Committee to Elect Eric T. Turkington, followed by roles as Legislative Aide to Representative Timothy R. Madden and Legislative Aide to Representative Eric T. Turkington for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In 2010, they were a Passport Support Associate I for the U.S. Department of State and in 2011, they were a Bike and Ski Technician II/Service Advisor/Sales Specialist for REI. From 2014 to 2017, they worked at Cycling Sports Group, starting as a Sales Associate/Bike Technician, then becoming Sales Manager, and finally Store Manager. In 2017, they became General Manager at Corner Cycle Cape Cod and in 2021, they joined O'Neil GIS as a GIS Consultant. Currently, they are an Advisor for Ampion, PBC.

In 2010, they earned a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Science from the University of North Dakota. In 2012, they earned a Master of Professional Studies (MPS) in Geographic Information Technology from Northeastern University. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, such as a Google Data Analytics Certification from Google in 2022, a Salesforce Sales Operations Professional from Coursera in 2022, a Google Project Management Professional Certification from Google in 2021, a Project101x: Introduction to Project Management from edX in 2018, an Open Water Diver from PADI in 2012, a Professional Development Series Certificate from FEMA in 2011, an Educator - Preliminary - Timothy'story 5-8 & 8-12 from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 2008, a GISP from the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI) in 2015, and a Level 2 Cycling Coach from USA Cycling in 2016.
