Deb Barnum

Deb Barnum currently serves as a Professional Learning Specialist for Science at Amplify, facilitating professional development for educators implementing the Amplify Science Curriculum. Previously, Deb was an Early Career Fellow and later a Master Teacher at Math for America, where involvement included professional development sessions and co-facilitating multiple courses. Experience as a Middle School Math Teacher at the NYC Department of Education included leadership roles in curriculum planning and effective teaching practices. Additional roles included coaching incoming NYC Teaching Fellows, serving as a Math Fellow, teaching yoga, and managing client relationships as an Account Manager at Hall & Partners. Educational background includes a Master of Science in Education from St. John's University, a yoga teacher certification, and a BS in Marketing from NYU Stern School of Business.
