Peter Batty

Peter Batty has extensive work experience in the geospatial and location technology industry. Peter is currently the Chief Research Officer at SSP Innovations, LLC, a role they have held since April 2021. Prior to that, Peter was the Co-founder and CTO of IQGeo, where they delivered innovative geospatial products for communications and utilities companies through the myWorld product line. IQGeo was formerly the geospatial division of Ubisense, where Peter also served as the Co-founder and CTO of the geospatial division. Peter was responsible for the geospatial technology strategy and played a key role in the development of the Ubisense myWorld product. Peter was also a co-founder and CTO of Ten Sails, a company that provided early stage funding to and later merged with Ubisense.

In addition to their roles at IQGeo and Ubisense, Peter has held various advisory board and executive positions in other companies. Peter was an Advisory Board Member at geoIQ and PublicEarth, and served as the Chief Technical Advisor at Enspiria Solutions. Peter also had a role as the VP and CTO at Intergraph, where they held responsibilities in technology strategy.

Before their tenure at Intergraph, Peter co-founded Ten Sails, focusing on building businesses in the geospatial and location technology industry. Peter evaluated new technologies and companies in this space and was primarily focused on indoor location tracking applications with Ubisense. Prior to that, Peter served as the VP of Technology at GE Network Solutions.

Throughout their career, Peter Batty has demonstrated a strong expertise and passion for geospatial technology and has made significant contributions to the industry through their leadership and entrepreneurial roles.

Peter Batty pursued their education at the University of Oxford, where they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from 1982 to 1985. Following this, they continued their academic journey at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science degree in Computation in the year 1986.
