Violet Wanta is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in education and policy analysis. Currently serving as the VP of Product Core-Platform at Amplify since May 2021, Wanta has held various leadership roles within the organization, including Interim VP of Professional Development Strategy & Implementation and Executive Director of Learning Recovery Initiatives. Prior to Amplify, Wanta worked at the NYC Department of Education from July 2017 to May 2021 as Research and Evaluation Manager and Equity Initiative Research Consultant. Earlier experience includes consulting roles at the Center for Public Research and Leadership at Columbia University and Education Pioneers, as well as teaching at SABIS® Educational Services and serving as Youth Development Specialist at SEWA Bharat. Wanta began a career in education at Women and Youth Supporting Each Other in Chicago as Deputy Director. Wanta holds a Master of Arts in Education Policy Analysis from Teachers College, Columbia University and a Bachelor's degree in Human Development from the University of Chicago.
