Josh Born, M.S., CISM, CIPM

Josh Born, M.S., CISM, CIPM has a wealth of experience in the field of cybersecurity and compliance. Josh'swork experience began in 2009 when they were an Intern at the Ohio Inspector General. Josh then worked as a Manager of Analysis for the United States Air Force from 2010 to 2012, followed by a role as an Analyst at Microsoft from 2012 to 2014. From 2014 to 2016, Born was a Sr. Cyber Threat Analyst at PNC. Josh then moved to Capital One in 2018 as a Manager, Cyber Threat Intelligence. In 2019, Born joined Ultradent Products, Inc. as Senior Manager - Head of IT Security, Risk, and Privacy, and then as Manager - Head of Security, Risk, and Compliance. In 2021, they were an Advisor at CompTIA and is currently the Director of Cybersecurity and Compliance at bp pulse fleet (formerly AMPLY Power).

Josh Born, M.S., CISM, CIPM is currently enrolled in the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Certificate Program at Carnegie Mellon University - Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy, studying Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance. Josh also holds a Master's Degree from Utica University in Cybersecurity, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Mercyhurst University in Intelligence Studies. Josh has also obtained a variety of certifications, including Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) from the International Association of Privacy Professionals in November 2022, Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2022, CompTIA Security Analytics Professional – CSAP from CompTIA in August 2020, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in August 2020, CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) from CompTIA in August 2020, CompTIA Network+ from CompTIA in June 2020, CompTIA Security+ from CompTIA in May 2020, GMON from SANS Institute in December 2016, and C-CISO from EC-Council.
