Samuel Stevens York's work experience includes a role as a Senior Growth Marketing Analyst at Ampush from July 2019 onwards, as well as a previous role as a Growth Marketing Analyst at Ampush starting from March 2018. Prior to their time at Ampush, Samuel served as a Writing Tutor at the Marks Family Writing Center from 2015 to 2017, where they assisted students with various aspects of the writing process and provided support in Craft of Prose Writing Seminars. Additionally, they worked at the University of Pennsylvania, where they completed an honors senior thesis on the influence of Plato's works on the death of Socrates on ancient writings about death. Samuel Stevens also received a Penn Undergraduate Research Mentoring Grant in 2015, during which they conducted primary source research on Julius Canus, a Roman senator executed by Caligula.
Samuel Stevens York completed their education at the University of Pennsylvania from 2013 to 2017, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a focus on Classical Studies (Honors) and Philosophy. Samuel Stevens also pursued a minor in Mathematics during their time there. In 2016, they attended the American Academy in Rome, where they completed the Classical Summer School program as a selected undergraduate. In 2015, Samuel studied ancient Greek archaeology, art history, and religion at the American College in Greece.
