Dr. Amrik Walia has a diverse and extensive work experience. Dr Amrik is currently serving as a Board Of Advisor for myFloc from CareSix Technologies, starting from May 2021. Previously, they held the position of Board of Directors at Urgent Care for Children, starting in April 2019. From September 2017 to April 2019, they were also the Co-Founder and President of Urgent Care for Children. Prior to that, Dr. Walia served as the Ex President and a Board of Director at Alabama India Business Partnership from May 2003. Dr Amrik founded Spa Moksha at the Center of Mind-Body-Medicine in August 2000 and held the positions of Founder, President, and CEO. Furthermore, Dr. Walia has extensive experience at the American Health Research Institute, starting from January 1991. Dr Amrik served as the President and CEO, focusing on medical diagnostics, mind-body-medicine, Ayurveda, and Med Spa Moksha. Dr Amrik also founded the Innovative Group within the organization. Dr. Walia began their career at UAB School of Medicine in 1984 as a Res. Associate Professor of Surgery.
Dr. Amrik Walia has a diverse educational background in the field of alternative medicine, executive business management, mind-body medicine, immunology, and medicinal chemistry. Dr Amrik obtained their Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from Loyola University New Orleans in the years 1970 to 1974. Following this, they enrolled in the UAB School of Medicine from 1975 to 1981, where they pursued a Fellowship in Immunology. In 1997, they attended the Mind/Body Institute at Harvard University's School of Medicine for Special Training in Mind-Body Medicine with a focus on NeuroImmunology. In 1998, Dr. Walia further expanded their knowledge in business management by completing an MBE in Executive Business Management at The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. Lastly, in 2000, they earned an M.D. from the Indian Board of Alternative Medicine, specializing in Alternative Medicine.
