Dr. Merin Dickson is a seasoned medical professional with an extensive background in cancer research and public health. Currently serving as the Chief Research Officer at Amrita Hospital in Kochi since June 2023, Dr. Dickson focuses on the development of image datasets for diagnostic and treatment algorithms. As the Founder and Chairperson of the Network Cancer Aid and Research Foundation since November 2019, alongside a role as a Clinical Research Scientist at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, notable contributions to clinical trials and research are evident. Previous positions include Managing Director at the International Institute of Clinical Research and Healthcare, Senior Program Manager at Cancer Research UK, and a Scientific Researcher with the World Health Organization. Dr. Dickson has earned a PhD in Breast Cancer from the UCL Cancer Institute and holds an MPH from UCL, as well as a medical degree from Tbilisi State Medical University.
