Enrique Gil has been working as a Senior Linux Engineer at AMS-IX since March 2018. Before that, they worked as a Linux Engineer at Sothis Tecnologías de la Información, SL from September 2012 to February 2018. Enrique was responsible for maintaining and administering over 1400 RHEL servers across the country, as well as developing and integrating a unique RHEL 5/6 system model for all the teams. Prior to that, Enrique worked at Solucions Informàtiques L'Alcúdia as a Responsible for Linux installations from February 2007 to May 2011. Their responsibilities included migrating systems from Fedora to CentOS with RAID controllers and implementing secure remote access with SSH certificates. Enrique started their career at GEINFOR as a Hardware Department Technician from June 2005 to December 2006, where they provided hardware installations and technical support for clients, as well as data conversions for new client applications.
Enrique Gil completed their education from 2001 to 2003 at IES Manuel Sánchez Ayuso, where they obtained a degree in Técnico Superior en Administración de Sistemas Informáticos with a specialization in Informática. Additionally, they earned several certifications throughout their career, including Puppet Certified Professional in 2013 from Puppet Labs, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) and Red Hat Certified Engineer in November 2019 from Red Hat, LPIC-2 Linux Engineer in August 2012, LPIC-3 Enterprise Professional Virtualization & HA in August 2017, LPIC-1 Linux Administrator in February 2012, and Red Hat Certificate Of Expertise In Ansible Automation in September 2017, all from Linux Professional Institute.
