Senior Linux Engineer at AMS-IX

Miguel Regalado Querol has extensive experience in various roles within the field of IT. Miguel started their career at Llanorel S.A. as a Loading and Unloading worker in 1992. Miguel then moved on to work as a Systems Administrator at the University of Valencia, where they designed and managed a Red Hat Linux 5 Beowulf cluster and developed Matlab and Fortran programs for the Electromagnetics and Waves Group.

After that, Miguel worked as a Red Hat Linux Instructor at Nanfor Iberica in 2001 before joining Faurecia as a System Administrator later that year. In 2003, they worked as an IT Technician at SPAG S.C.V and La Turisana S.C.V before joining ICL Fujitsu, where they served as an IT Technician until 2005 and then became an IT Coordinator from 2005 to 2007.

From 2007 to 2014, Miguel worked as a System Analyst at Steria Ibérica SAU, where they were responsible for project management at the University of Valencia IT Service Desk. Their tasks included developing custom real-time dashboards for Request Tracker and Asterisk-based Call Center software statistics, as well as customizing forms for Request Tracker software.

In 2014, they joined Sothis Tecnologías de la Información, SL as a Red Hat Linux Engineer. Their responsibilities included managing a large number of servers, point-of-sale systems, and weighing scales. Miguel also specialized in customizing RHEL distributions using technologies such as Cobbler, Puppet, and Red Hat Satellite 5.

Most recently, Miguel has been working at AMS-IX since 2016 as a Senior Linux Engineer. Their key responsibilities include managing the infrastructure of AMS-IX Servers, both bare metal and virtual, using various hardware and software technologies such as Dell and Supermicro servers, Dell Equallogic and Synology NAS, Dell Powerconnect Switches, Palo Alto Firewalls, Linux Debian, CentOS, PostgreSQL, Redis, HAProxy, and Puppet. Miguel is also skilled in scripting languages such as bash and perl.

Miguel Regalado Querol completed a Licenciatura degree at the University of Valencia from 1993 to 1998. Additionally, they obtained the ITIL v3 Foundations certification from EXIM in January 2010, the Red Hat Certified Engineer certification from Red Hat in June 2011, and the Red Hat Certified System Administrator certification from Red Hat in April 2011.
