Andy Mattes

Andy Mattes serves as Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board and a Member of the Supervisory Board at ams OSRAM since July 2023. As a Senior Advisor at McKinsey & Company since December 2022, Mattes brings extensive experience from various leadership roles including Member of the Board of Directors at Cohu, Inc. and Velodyne Lidar, where a successful merger with Ouster took place. Previously, Mattes was President and CEO of Coherent Inc., leading the company through its acquisition by II VI, now known as Coherent Corp. Mattes has also held significant positions at Diebold Nixdorf as CEO and at Diebold, Incorporated as President and CEO, driving global strategies in secure commerce. Education includes a Dipl Kfm in Management Science from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
