Jim Caldwell is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the film and video production industry. As the Owner and Chief Engineer of Three Eleven Associates since 1986, Jim provides freelance engineering and technical services, specializing in the design and maintenance of audio, video, and control systems. Jim has held various roles since 2006, including Chief Engineer for Worldwide Satellite Communications, overseeing HD video productions, and serving as a Freelance EIC/A1 for multiple organizations, managing audio and video for sports events and live broadcasts. With a background in education as an Adjunct Professor at Southern Methodist University, Jim developed a curriculum focused on advanced audio techniques for film and video. Jim's expertise encompasses engineering numerous production facilities, including those for Toni & Guy, and leadership roles at The Potter's House Dallas and Firestone Communications, spearheading technical operations and facility management. Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts in TV and Film Production from Trinity University.
