Scott Hawkins

Scott Hawkins is a Senior Aero Structures Engineer at AMSL Aero, specializing in the design and analysis of electrically powered aircraft since April 2019. Prior to this, Scott held positions as a Senior Structures Engineer at Amce, where responsibilities included structural modifications on C130 aircraft and the E-7A Wedgetail, and as a Lead Stress Engineer at Yamaha Motor Australia, focusing on rotor wing system R&D. Additional experience includes technical specialist roles at QuEST Global and GKN Aerospace, where Scott led fatigue and damage tolerance analysis for various Airbus programs and the A400M. Early career roles as a Senior Stress Engineer at Hawker de Havilland and other engineering positions involved finite element modeling, structural design, and manufacturing support. Scott holds Bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from both the New South Wales Institute of Technology and the University of Technology Sydney.
