Gavin Morrice

Gavin Morrice has extensive work experience in the field of software development and engineering. Gavin is currently working at Cleo as a Senior Backend Engineer since April 2023. Before that, they worked at Cookpad as a Senior Software Engineer from November 2021 to April 2023. Prior to their role at Cookpad, they held the position of Managing Director / Software Developer at Katana from the start of their career in 2011 until September 2021.

In addition to these roles, Gavin Morrice has also co-founded Muzzool, where they served as a Co-Founder and Lead Developer from March 2018 to August 2021. Gavin has experience in managing editorial content as well, as they worked as a Managing Editor at Startup Pulse from September 2015 to May 2018. Furthermore, they served as a Startup Mentor at Zeus Fund from June 2015 to June 2016.

Gavin Morrice began their career as a Full-stack Developer at Gavin Morrice Web Development in August 2008. During their time there, they worked as a freelance developer on various projects in different locations, including New York, Florida, California, Paris, Johannesburg, and the UK. These projects involved developing applications such as price-comparison engines, social networking and gaming applications, e-commerce websites, and more.

Notably, they also worked as the Chief Technical Officer at URTV in 2011, where they were responsible for designing and developing a scalable web application. Additionally, they oversaw the development of the URTV iPhone application and created an API for third-party integration.

Gavin Morrice began their education at Kirkcaldy High School in 1998, where they completed their secondary education. Gavin successfully completed their degree in 2007, focusing on the field of study in music.
