Willem de Vries

Willem de Vries is a seasoned event manager and water safety coordinator with extensive experience in organizing and managing various events and activities. Since January 2018, Willem operates as a Freelance Event Manager, showcasing a proactive and flexible approach to event planning. In addition, Willem has served as a Waterveiligheids coordinator for Amsterdam City Swim since 2012 and has been the Location Manager for the Oerol Festival from 2019 to 2023. Previous roles include Process Facilitator for the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, Project Coordinator for Pop-up Indoor Stadscampings, K38 Rescue Watercraft Operator, and Lifeguard Coordinator for the Royal Netherlands Sea Rescue Organisation. Willem holds a degree in sport management/event management from Hanze, obtained between 2006 and 2009.
