Bertan Selim

Bertan Selim is an experienced professional in the fields of arts and development, currently serving as Lead Development at Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT) since January 2023 and a member of the Supervisory Board at Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst (AFK) since March 2021. Selim’s board positions include roles at FotoEvidence, DOKUFEST, and the VID Foundation for Photography, which focuses on supporting photographers and visual storytellers addressing social issues in the Balkans. Additionally, Selim acts as a photography portfolio reviewer for the New York Times Lens Blog and previously held significant positions at the Prince Claus Fund, including Head of Fundraising and Communications. Academic credentials include a PhD research candidacy in Cultural Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and various degrees in European History and Culture, English Philology, and mediation in conflict resolution.
