Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst (AFK)
Denise Harleman is a dynamic professional with extensive experience in the arts and social advocacy. Currently serving as a member of the Supervisory Board at Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst since May 2023, Denise is also the founder of Collectief Kapitaal and FUTURABILITY, both of which focus on fostering innovative dialogue and exploring future opportunities. Since 2018, Denise has held roles as a Creative Strategist and strategic advisor for various organizations while also teaching arts education projects at Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten and financial management and entrepreneurship at the Academy of Theatre and Dance. Denise’s commitment to social equality is evident in past roles, including serving as treasurer for COC Nederland and as a board member for Stichting Ondertussen and tgECHO. Denise holds a Master of Arts in Theatre from Utrecht University.

Het AFK is het fonds van en voor culturele wereldstad Amsterdam. Vanuit onze missie 'Fantastische kunst voor alle Amsterdammers', dragen we bij aan een stad waar iedereen de kans heeft kunst te beoefenen of ervaren. Daarom ondersteunen we alle kunstvormen in ieder stadsdeel en in elke wijk. We zijn er voor zowel professionele kunst als voor cultuurbeoefening in de vrije tijd - voor gevestigde organisaties, als ook de rafelranden en de pioniers. Het AFK richt zich met zijn activiteiten op drie groepen: kunstenaars en culturele organisaties, Amsterdammers, en de sector als geheel. Door kennis voor en over de sector te delen - dragen we bij aan een krachtig, toekomstbestendig kunstenveld.
