Amanda McBride, PE, is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the realm of railroad electrification and structural engineering. Currently serving as Senior Manager of OCS Design at Amtrak since August 2016, Amanda has progressed through various roles including Engineer and Senior Engineer in OCS, focusing on the design, repair, and construction of catenary and transmission projects on the Northeast Corridor. Prior to joining Amtrak, Amanda held positions as a Structural Engineering Graduate Student at the University of Connecticut, where research focused on next-generation infrastructure, and as a Junior Design Engineer at InSite Engineering, LLC, contributing to site design and technical report preparation. Amanda holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, both from the University of Connecticut.
