Bao Qiu

Bao (Jacky) Qiu has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Bao (Jacky) started their career as a Software Developer in various companies in China from 2001 to 2006, where they gathered requirements, developed modules, and designed database architectures. Bao (Jacky) then worked as a Technical Project Manager in Stellar from 2006 to 2008, managing project development schedules and processes, providing technical support, and designing high-level architectures. From 2008 to 2010, they held the role of Senior Associate in Cognizant China, where they served as a technical lead for the Metlife REIOS project. In this role, they ensured the delivery quality, managed project processes, and gathered business requirements. Bao (Jacky) then transitioned to the position of Project Manager in Cognizant from 2010 to 2011, where they acted as an onsite manager and technical lead for various projects, overseeing the analysis process and ensuring quality deliverables. From 2011 to 2015, they continued working in Cognizant China as a Senior Manager, serving as the head of the Healthcare department and working closely with customer teams to understand requirements. In 2015, they joined Cognizant as a Senior Manager, playing the roles of onsite scrum master and project manager for the Point to Point Encryption project. From 2017 to 2023, they worked at Stellar Services, initially as a Senior PM / DB Developer, managing various projects and implementing Infor ERP and Infor EAM solutions. Then, from 2019 to 2023, they held the position of Technical EAM Director, leading the Enterprise Asset Management Practice and providing technical support on EAM proposals. Bao (Jacky) is currently employed at Amtrak as a Senior Principal Software Engineer.

Bao (Jacky) Qiu has a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering from East China Normal University, which was obtained from 2002 to 2005. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Geology/Earth Science, General from the same university, which was earned from 1997 to 2001. Additionally, Bao has obtained various certifications including MAS Manage Introduction from IBM, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS), Maximo Application Suite Foundation from IBM, and AZ-303 Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies and AZ-304 Microsoft Azure Architect Design from Microsoft.
