Kuvesh Ayer

Kuvesh Ayer has extensive work experience in procurement and contracts management. Kuvesh currently holds the role of Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer at Amtrak since May 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Procurement Officer at the State of NY Metropolitan Transportation Authority from January 2020 to May 2023. Before that, they held leadership positions at GE and Alstom Switzerland Ltd., where they managed contracts and legal matters. Kuvesh also served as the Head of Legal and Contracts Management at National Department of Public Works | IDT in South Africa. Overall, Kuvesh Ayer has a strong background in procurement, contracts management, and legal affairs.

Kuvesh Ayer holds a Master's Degree in Law from the University of Connecticut School of Law, as well as a Law Degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Additionally, Ayer obtained a Certificate in Project Management from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2010. In 2000-2001, Ayer pursued Leadership and Management studies at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika. Ayer also obtained a PMP certification from the Institute of Project Management. Furthermore, Ayer completed a Masters program in Business and Law at the University of Connecticut from 2014 to 2016.
