Matthew Kelly

Matthew Kelly has extensive experience in government affairs and legislative policy, currently serving as a Commerce Committee Professional Staff member for the United States Senate since April 2014. Prior to this role, Matthew held various positions at Amtrak, including Sr. Director of Government Affairs and Principal Officer of Legislative & Regulatory Policy. Matthew's foundational experience in the United States Senate spans from 2003 to 2009, where roles included Legislative Assistant, Legislative Correspondent, and Staff Assistant. Matthew holds a Master of Arts in Transportation Policy, Operations, and Logistics from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Dickinson College.
