Scott George

Scott George serves as the Central Division Sr. Director of Mechanical Operations at Amtrak, where responsibilities include providing leadership for the planning and operational execution of major overhauls and repairs for rolling stock equipment. Prior to Amtrak, Scott worked as a Telecommunications Supervisor at BNSF Railway, overseeing telecommunications projects across multiple states. Scott's extensive experience at Union Pacific Railroad spanned nearly two decades, where roles included Director of Heritage Fleet Operations and Director of various locomotive facilities, focusing on restoration, maintenance, and operational efficiency. Scott holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Lean Manufacturing Certification from the University of Kentucky.
