Steven Segerlin

Steven Segerlin currently serves as the Head of Commercial Development at Amtrak, a position held since December 2023. Prior to this role, Segerlin was the Director of Real Estate Development and Station Area Planning at the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) from January 2018 to December 2023. Segerlin's extensive experience includes positions as an Urban Planning Specialist at the World Bank Group, Climate Finance Specialist at UN-Habitat, Urban Development and Transport Planner at the Millennium Challenge Corporation, Urban Planner at Bloomberg Associates, and Principal - Sustainable Smart Cities at RTI International, all held between 2014 and 2018. Additional experience includes serving as Manager of Infrastructure and Environment at Cardno Emerging Markets USA Ltd. and as Urban Transport Research Analyst at the Coalition for Smarter Growth in 2013, as well as Urban Programs Director at Chemonics International from 2008 to 2010. Segerlin holds a Bachelor of Science in Building Science (Real Estate Development) and an MBA in Finance from Auburn University and its Harbert College of Business, respectively.
