Thomas Hartnett

Thomas Hartnett currently serves as Vice President of E&S Underwriting Excellence at AmTrust Financial Services, Inc., having joined in 2022. Prior to this role, Thomas was a Corporate Underwriting Expert in Casualty at Munich Re Specialty Insurance from 2020 to 2022, where responsibilities included providing expertise to various underwriting teams and overseeing corporate underwriting functions. Thomas also held the position of Vice President, Senior Products Manager Casualty at Swiss Re from 2014 to 2019, where expertise was delivered in portfolio management and underwriting leadership for a significant book of business. Earlier experience includes roles as Assistant Vice President Underwriting at Vela Insurance Services and Assistant Vice President, Specialty Casualty at Berkley Specialty Underwriting Managers. Thomas holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from DePaul University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
